Cadet In-Processing

After you follow the steps located in How To Join and your Membership gets approved, you’ll start here.

 

Step 1

Read through the New Cadet Guide. This will answer a lot of initial questions about uniforms, promotions, and just an overview of Cadet Life. It is linked on the right side of this page.

Order your ABU uniform. The order guide will help you to ensure that you order everything needed to get started! Order your uniform on Vanguard’s Website

Once you receive your Uniform, follow our Sewing Guide to sew your insignia and patches on your ABU uniform. 

After your first promotion (Cadet Airman) you will receive an email with a gift card to purchase your Blues Uniform.

Step 2

Once you get your welcome email, it will contain your CAPID number. You will use this number a lot throughout your CAP career.

Follow the directions here to learn how to log into e-services for the first time.

After logging in for the first time, be sure to print out your temporary CAPID card.

To download and print a temporary membership card:

  1. Login to your eServices account at www.capnhq.gov. 

  2. Click on your name in the upper right corner of the screen.

  3. A drop down menu will appear.  Select "General Info"

  4. The link to download and print a temporary card is located under the "Membership Card" heading, about halfway down the page.

If you choose to take your first leadership test, be sure to mark your passing score in your Promotion Tracker. Use this document to help guide you through all of your promotions.

 

You must also download, fill out, print and keep with you a CAPF 161. This is an emergency contact information sheet. This must be kept with you can brought to every CAP Event, including weekly meetings. You can access the form here

Step 3

Log into your DragonNET email account. Click here for help logging in the first time. Your account is generally created in the beginning of the month, following the month that you join.

After making sure you can log into your DragonNet account, please sign up for our newsletter using your DragonNET email account.
